Day 3: choose to believe

Today is the third day of VBS. As expected, kids were getting more excited each day, and so Wai Ho and David seem to have a harder time keeping the kids in good order during game time. But I think they have done a good job in handling "high energy kids". They had the younger group laying down on floor listening to Wai Ho reading out Psalm 23 to calm them down after an active game. There were several times of prayer needed during the activity time as some kids was hurt not treated nicely.

The craft for today was a bit more complicated so it took a longer time for them to complete. Kids responded very well to the gospel video, and most felt very sad that a lamb has to be sacrifice for the sin of man. They are going to hear that Jesus is the perfect lamb that was being sacrifice for the sin of the world in the next two days. Please continue to pray for the hearts of the little kids and for their understanding about the gospel truth.

In the afternoon, we met with the Chinese couple at a Chinese restaurant and were introduced to a Chinese lady, who attend the fellowship baptist church. It's a good chat with them and we have given them some Chinese Christian literature and have invited them to the church's Sunday service. The lady has 5 grown up kids and the youngest one is studying at SFU. They told us that at the presence there is a couple from Singapore just moved in to Prince Rupert and they are hosting a Bible study twice a month with the Chinese people here. We may be able to meet this couple on Friday. Mr Lam was so friendly that he would like to give us some "fishes" to bring home to Vancouver.

At night, Wai Ho and Fiona went to meet with another short term mission team from Surrey. Their team will be staying at PR for a few days and they mainly do street evangelism and outreach to the 1st nation reserve area. They will have a BBQ slumber on Friday night and we are invited to go.

A highlight: Iris got to get a ride with Al on a motorbike round Prince Rupert!
