Day 3: Aug 20, 2007

So, Today, we had to wake up at 7:00. When Gary and Tim woke up, Gary found a spider crawling around his bed when he tried to make his bed. Eventually, Gary killed the spider, but some of its corpse still remains on the bed. After getting ready, breakfast had been nicely prepared for us [Wai ho, Gary, Tim], thx to Jean and Jason. We met at the church for devotions around 8:00am, and Pastor Dick Knox joined us as well. We closed our devotion with Pastor Dick leading us to communion. Some kids had arrived as early as 8:50, and some arrived as late as 10:00. We had around 28 kids, with 3 extra helpers. The kids were very attentive during bible center time, and had alot of fun all in all. After VBS, we [ plus Dick, Rachel, Ravie,] went to Myrna's house for lunch. David and Avery showed us around their place, and we discovered that Avery has a great interest for studio productions. He's planning to make his own movie, and is 11 years old. After lunch, we headed back to the church for preparation for next day. We made a couple changes to our program, but we feel confident that the VBS should continue to run smoothly. After that, we decided to head to the library and satisfy our blogging needs and spamming facebook walls. All of us have found evidence of noseem [a.k.a mosquito] on our bodies, and we are currently trying to either cure them or scratch them. Wai ho is currently leader with 40+ bites. Tim plans to beat him by thursday. We're going to dinner at Jean's house now.
