Children Ministry Prayer Item January 2011

A Serenity Prayer (Serenity means peace/ calm)
Lord, Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change
The courage to change the things I can
And the Wisdom to know the difference.


Children:

* To have a heart to worship God and praise him at worship. (We find kids lack of willingness to praise. They don't open their mouth and sing!)
* To be attentive and have a desire to know God during all Bible time. Especially for the boys
* Family Devotion campaign -- pray that the families would set aside time to have family devotion with their kids, and that not only to impart faith to the kids, but also strengthen the bonding between the parent and the child.

Ministry event:

* Eagle Ridge Hospital outreach on Jan 30 - that children will prepare and experience the joy of serving and caring those in need. Titus fellowship will help out with the rest of the program. Pray for them to have a meaningful experience together too.
* Mandarin evangelistic outreach children program help out Jan 29 -30. -- Janis and her team will be running the children's program on Sat afternoon. Fiona and her team will be leading on Sunday night. Please pray for wisdom, message and preparation for the event. Pray also for enough volunteers to help out. Pray for the spirit of the children to be ready to hear the word of God. Pray also that the craft materials that Fiona has ordered for the event will come in time.


Ministry planning

* Children's Choir -- Please pray for a smooth transition of the choir's reorganization. Pray that the new arrangement will enhance the service of the children's choir and also those who participated will experience the joy of serving.
* Children Library Relocation Project -- Pray that Fiona can recruit enough volunteers to help out with the project and that the project can be done in Spring.


Leaders

* Pray for strength for all new department heads/ coordinators to pick up their job and knows what to do.
* Pray for passion for those who served long to continue to be inspired to serve
* Pray for Deacon Garrett as he is also carrying a heavy workload to serve on the church board. Pray for wisdom, insight, faith, and spiritual discernment for all board members
