4) Visitations (Kids, Chinese and Vietnamese)


Once again, a mission team will be sent forth to Prince Rupert this August to carry the great commission of the Lord there. At the beginning we have struggles in pulling together a team, but thanks God we ultimately have enough people coming forward to join us at this wonderful opportunity of sharing Christ. Praise the Lord.

This year’s team consists of Pastor Fiona, Pastor Roger, Wendy Wong, Rosanna Peng, and our missionary Cindy Luu. With the combination of the team members, we are not only able to host the VBS for kids, but to lead Bible study with the Chinese fellowship, and also to meet with the Vietnamese community there. May God continue to open doors for us to preach the gospel.

Their responsibilities as follows:

Pastor Fiona: Bible teaching, Preaching, Team leader.
Pastor Roger: Bible activities, Bible study with Chinese group, driver.
Cindy Luu: Visitation (Vietnamese & Chinese), Children Sunday school
Wendy Wong: Crafts, Treasurer
Rosanna Peng: Games, Songs, Sunday Worship leader.

I wanted to join this trip because I felt God's calling to do so. I want to do something meaningful with my summer. I am expecting challenges that will make me a stronger Christian. I will mainly be in charge of the games for the VBS and leading songs with the kids. Please pray that the people of Prince Rupert will be receptive to God's message and that we will be able to communicate His word properly.

This is my third time to Prince Rupert, but every time there will be new challenges. I see that God is opening up more witnessing opportunities for us each year, from VBS to Chinese community to Vietnamese community. Please pray for spiritual strength and power in preaching and teaching, and wisdom in leading the team. Pray that our team will work well together and experience God greatly through this trip.

Pray for witnessing opportunities to the Vietnamese and Chinese community.

Wendy Wong
Pray for wisdom and skill to teach the kids doing crafts, and the opportunity to share the gospel to children and others.
