在基督少年軍的課程內, 有一項很特別的活動, 是讓一家人也能很興奮地一同參與的, 便是 “木頭手推車大賽”. 今年教會AWANA 也希望舉行此活動, 並將於五月三十一日星期六 (第五週)少年軍時間舉行.
少年軍成員將於4月19 日聚會時獲派比賽資料一份. 並於5 月3 日聚會時間內弄製其賽車. 因賽車的製作也可以很複雜, 所以我們鼓勵的家長協助, 提供意見,及參與製作 (但只限於切割車身或需要運用利器工具已). 這也是一很好的親子活動.
我們會安排人員在5 月3 日的製作坊內協助小朋友切製他們的賽車, 提供些油彩給予製作, 並於當日登記他們參賽車子的名字. 比賽包括: 最快速度, 及最佳設計. 組別為 Sparks, T & T girls, T & T boys.
相信這是一項很好的活動, 但這也是教會第一次舉辦, 所以若在安排上有不善之處, 請以禱告記念.
Hey kids,
We are exciting to announce that the first Port Moody AWANA Grand Prix will be held on May 31, 2008. You will find instruction for making the car and the competition details in this information package. Each clubber is allowed to enter one car for competition. You are encouraged to work with your mom and dad in the making of the car, but your parents involvement should only be limited to the making of the car body.
What you need to do until the Grand Prix day:
1) Obtain a car package from the Awana leaders. Read the instruction.
2) Decide on the pattern of your car. You can choose a pattern from the package or decide on your own. But make sure your design fits the requirement as stated on the instruction sheet.
3) Think of a name for your car and registered it for the competition
4) Shape, paint and decorate your car
5) Bring your car, your parents, or even your friends with you and have them cheer for you on the Grand Prix day.
6) ENJOY and have FUN
There will be prizes for SPEED and DESIGN for each age group.
Group division: Sparks, T & T boys, T & T girls
General car making tips:
• The lower the front end, and the heavier the rear end, the faster the car goes.
• Some pattern looks good but may not be the fastest. Sometimes the more basic the pattern, the faster the car.
