Prince Rupert Trip RECAP

After another 18 hours drive, we finally arrived home safe and sound. This trip is certainly a lot of fun and worth going. We got to know each other more and came a lot closer together. The mission trip surely helps us all grow spiritually.

Some surprises & new discoveries we have during the trip:

1) We asked for a Van but God gave us a truck. Driving a truck is a good idea as it gives us a lot more luggages space. However, for sitting space... we all united together very well.

2) Be prepared for the "noseeum" attack in and out of season. Though you can't see the tiny mosquitoes, this doesn't mean they are not there. There are always there hovering around you and attack you when you do not aware of it. Be alert!

3) If you want to connect with your family, Telus is the only way. All other cell phone networks do not work in Prince Rupert.

4) "Do not be drunk, but be filled with the Holy Spirit" is a needy statement in Prince Rupert. Drinking is a problem in many of the people there. On our Wednesday night there, 2 drunk people has set a car exploded in the middle of the night. On Thursday night, the boys witness street fighting on the road when going back home.

5) Mission trip can be fun. In this mission trip, we have some bonus time of having fun together for some outdoor activities after some hard work. Guess what, we got to go hiking, barbecue by the beach, kayaking, hot tubs, playing Wii...). But don't misjudge us, we work hard, and we play hard.

There are some good moments that I believe we all enjoyed:

1) Worshiping on the road. We sang and praised. We have listened to 3 CD sermons plus one at the church in Prince George.

2) Devotion time, sharing time, and praying time during the day.

3) Seeing more than 16 kids praying to choose to follow Jesus and asked Jesus to be the Savior of their lives.

4) All the Fun and food provided by our team members to keep us alive, alert, and enthusiastic.
