Day 6: Aug 23, 2007

Today is thursday and it is the fourth day of VBS. The morning program went quite well.

Today Fiona gave an altar call to the kids to invite them to receive Jesus. Half of the kids (About 16 kids) made their first time decision to receive Jesus as their personal Savior. Wai Ho observed that 90% of the kids opened their lips to say the prayer. It was a sweet and divine moment of prayer. Hallelujah! Pray that the seed that has planned will go deep and that it will have a life long impact to their life in the future.

We observed that many of them come from challenging background. They have special kinds of needs that are different from kids in Vancouver.

One of the girls told us about an incident about two cars. Some possibly drunk people, lighted up two cars in the middle of the night and the two cars exploded. It frigthened the girl who lives close by. We prayed for her and one of the helpers went to comfort her.

In the afternoon, pastor Dick took the youth to kayaking in the sea. They really enjoyed it and it also drained a lot of their energies. Thank you so much again to Pastor Dick for all these extra-cirricular activities.

Wai Ho continued to share his faith with Yang who is Chinese that we met through our host. Yang is on his journey to search for Jesus.
